Zone Conference in Buin-11 weeks

This week has been awesome, taught like crazy!!!

We had our zone conference this week, and that was amazing. We have a huge focus on The Plan of Salvation, so it is really awesome to hear the Mission President talk about it and go into all the little details and just learn so much!!

So, as a lot of you know, I love sports. And I was thinking about how sports relate to missionary work, and there are so many similarities. I love football, and I really love offense. I love it because we have SO many different plays and so many different ways to succeed. And we practice so hard, for one game at the end of the week, so much work for 60 minutes. And the offense is only on the field for about 30 minutes. So you work your tail off, learn 100´s of different plays for about 30 minutes. You run the plays that will attack and expose the defense the best, that is called ¨Reading the Game¨. So sometimes you only run around 20 different types of plays. So how does this apply to missionary work?? Well, we have these people we teach, and they have very specific needs. And we have this very broad message that can help their life. So we study our message in detail, and read 100´s of scriptures, and try to perfect our craft. So, once we get into the lesson with this real person, a child of God, with real problems, we know how to help them. We can share a scripture with them that makes them feel like it was written specifically for them. We can alter our message so we can highlight the parts that we feel like they need to hear, that will personally help them. We ¨Read the Game¨ and what needs to be done. All this is done by the guidance and promptings of the spirit.

I love this work people!!! I am so happy that I am here in Chile doing what I need to do. Thank you all for you support. Stay safe.
