Setting Apart

Jace was set apart on Monday January 8th at 9:00 p.m. He had his final interview with our new Stake President, Wes Walker, right before. Jace is his first missionary from our stake to be set apart. We were waiting in the high council room for them to come out of the interview. When they entered Jace was already emotional. President Walker told us that he was envious of Jace because he was going to the same country that he had served in many years ago. He told us it was a great place and that Jace was going to love the people in Chile just as he did.
The blessing that President Walker gave Jace was very beautiful and the spirit was so strong. We were all pretty emotional especially Jace, Mom and Grandma. The pictures above were taken immediately after in the waiting area outside the stake offices. We all hugged and cried. He said goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa and those who would not see him again before he would leave the next day.
We all proceeded to leave and were outside by our vehicles and he gave his Grandma one last, long hug.
It has finally hit the reality stage in this journey, Jace is leaving for TWO YEARS. Hopefully the time will go quickly.
We Love You Jace!
