Easter and Conference Weekend
It was the ´´Holy Week´´ here in Chile, an old Catholic tradition. The week they celebrate the crucifixion of Christ and actually go to church! So it is actually way nice for us because people are more willing to listen to our message, only because they feel obligated because it is Holy Week, but that is how we plant the seed! Haha.
All is well here! I am loving it more than ever! My language is really progressing! Conference was amazing! So many great things that I learned and a lot of great refreshers. Here are some of the things that I really loved...1. The sustaining of Russell M. Nelson, was one of the coolest things ever. I am a witness before God in a solemn assembly that he is a true Prophet, Seer, and Revelator.2. We need to love to forgive others, because He loves to forgive us.3. Repentence is not the plan B for IF we mess up, it is the plan for WHEN we mess up. Mistakes are a way of life, but we cannot lose a beat of enthusiasm.4. We need to be Christ-like teachers in the home, always by example.5. Sacrifice is the key ingredient to moving this work along.6. It does not matter where we serve, or who watches us serve, it only matters how we serve, because Heavenly Father knows.7. Repentence and obedience is how we make our communication with our Father in Heaven clear. We need to be on the same frequency as Him in the good times, so His message is CLEAR in the hard times.8. We need to have the Holy Ghost with us at all times if we want to survive in this world today.9. We must love one another like He loves us.10. With all these great things, Pres. Nelson said it best, ´´Keep the commandments and we will be alright.´´ Super simple and super true.I am so grateful for this work! I love my Savior. I know that because of Him, there is hope. Death is not the end! Immortality is reality! He broke the bands of death, and the tomb is empty! He lives! I know that through his everlasting sacrifice, we can live in his presence again, with our families. We can feel his wonderful mercy and forgiviness! I love this Gospel, and all of you!Stay Safe and Healthy!Con MUCHO amor,Elder Simons

This is our dog. He is waiting for us right there to leave the house every morning. Then he is watching for us to get home at night. He is a loyal guy. |
